Privacy policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Daylight ("we," "us") runs daylightmethod.com and the Daylight Tech Checkup. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who this site is for
This site and the Tech Checkup are for parents and caregivers. They're not meant for children to use, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. When you take the Tech Checkup, you answer questions about your child. You can leave your child's name blank.
What we collect
When you take the Tech Checkup:
- Your child's first name, if you choose to give it
- Your child's age range
- Roughly how much recreational screen time your child has
- Your answers to the checkup statements, and the results we calculate from them
- How you heard about us, if you tell us
If you ask for your full report:
- Your email address
When you join the waitlist:
- Your name, email, and state
- What you tell us about your kids and what you'd like to change
- How you heard about us, if you tell us, and a link to your Tech Checkup report if you came from it
When you book a free consultation:
- The details you enter in the booking form, such as your name and email. Booking happens through Google Calendar, and Google's privacy policy also applies.
Automatically, when you use the site:
- How you move through the site and the checkup, for example which steps you complete. This includes the page that sent you here, your general location (country or region), and your device and browser type.
- We don't record your screen, and we never include your child's name or your email in this usage data.
How we use it
- To show you your results and send you your full report
- To send you occasional emails with practical ideas on kids and screens, if you gave us your email. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how people use the checkup, so we can improve it
- To prepare for a consultation you've booked with Dr. Adam Maher
- To contact you when a spot opens, if you joined the waitlist
The Tech Checkup shares observations to help you plan. It isn't a diagnosis or medical advice.
